She glitched the flowers. Not the moths.

Think about that for a second. The veil is a flock of live moths, lifting off her head in every direction, and every one of them is whole. The bouquet is the thing falling apart — torn sideways into pixel blocks, red and green and blue pulling away from each other like a bad signal.

The rule she obeys completely

Zara Moon glitches exactly one thing per picture. Everything else has to behave like paint, and here it does: the velvet-dark ground, the twilight colours, one hot colour holding the middle of it, the figure simplified into a few strokes with her face turned away. You are not meant to know who she is. You are meant to notice which half of her is coming undone.

The joke lands first. Then the serious bit arrives a few seconds later, which is exactly how she builds them. She writes the title before she paints, and the title is always the clue.

What it does in a room

Bouquet Dissolving Pixel – Zara Moon | Fine Art PrintThis one gets talked about. It is a landscape, so it sits well above something — a sideboard, a bed, the long stretch of wall in a hallway. People walk up close to the bouquet, because up close the pixel blocks are hard edges and the rest is brush. As one critic put it: “a conversation starter with its blend of theatrical surrealism and a bold glitch effect.”

Getting it on your wall

It is a high quality print of a digital artwork, on museum-grade archival matte paper with pigment inks. Non-reflective, so the deep dark ground stays dark instead of bouncing your ceiling light back at you, and the glitch stays razor-sharp. Printed edge to edge, no white border — it drops straight into a frame you already own, or looks right pinned up bare.

It arrives rolled in a protective tube. Most people take the 20 x 16 in (51 x 41 cm). Go 24 x 18 in if the wall is wide. That middle size is $49.00, and shipping is free in the continental US. Printed for you when you order, so it will not be on anyone else’s street.

One honest thing

It is a moody picture. Dark ground, one hot colour, a bride you cannot quite see. If you want something calm and sunny, this will fight you.

Bouquet Dissolving Pixel – Zara Moon | Fine Art PrintIf you want the thing guests ask about, take it home. Or go through the rest of Zara’s scenes first — and if you follow her, you will see the next impossible rule before anyone else does.

One is a piece. Two is a set. Three is a collection.

Almost nobody stops at one. A second work by the same hand turns a wall into a pairing. A third turns it into something you chose rather than something you bought. There are 6 other works by Zara Moon available.
