Nobody in this picture is looking at you.
No posed smile, no chin lifted toward a camera. A woman has a small child by the hands and she is spinning her, out in a café garden, and neither of them knows you came in.
The red dress gives it away
The dress has gone to a full circle. Not a swish — a ring, laid down in loaded cadmium red, thick enough that you can see where the knife dragged through it. That ring does the spinning for you.
Then look at the faces and the hands. Still readable. Still soft. Isabelle keeps those intact while everything else flies, and that gap is the whole reason the picture never sits still. The child’s hair is flung across her face — hiding her and telling you the entire story in the same stroke.
Charlotte, who scored it, wrote: “The swirling red dress captures the essence of motion and light in a way that stops you in your tracks.” Critic average, 9 out of 10, names attached.
Isabelle says it the same way every time: I paint the ten seconds before they notice you are there.
What happens once it is up
It wants a kitchen, a bedroom, a reading corner — somewhere the afternoon reaches. Guests stop at it and ask who she is. You will end up saying the artist is Isabelle Moreau more than once.
A rule worth keeping: hang a portrait picture so the middle of the image lands at your standing eye level. Most people hang too high, then live with it for years.
On the wall in two minutes
Matte canvas with a visible weave, so the red reads as paint and not as a photo, and a lamp opposite gives you the dress back instead of a glare. Stretched over solid wood, an inch and a quarter deep, image wrapping the edges — one nail, no frame, no framer’s bill. A high quality print of a digital artwork, made to order, so up to ten business days plus delivery, and nobody on your street will have this one. Free shipping in the continental US.
12×16 in (30×41 cm) is $129. 18×24 in (46×61 cm) is $149 and is the one most people take. 24×32 in (61×81 cm) is $229 if the wall is wide. That is the price on the work — no auction, no bidding, no number you cannot trace.
One honest thing
It is loud. Cadmium red at full volume in a garden full of light. In a cool, minimal or corporate room it will fight everything, and if you want a picture with an argument in it, this is not that picture. In a room with wood, colour or a little mess, it belongs there by the end of the week.
If that is your room, take her home. If you are not sure yet, go through the rest of Isabelle’s café pictures — or follow her, and you will see the next one before anyone else does.
