Your eye goes straight to the black. It has no choice — one stroke, cut across a field of chrome yellow, moving fast.

The half inch that does all the work

The black doesn’t reach the right edge. There’s a thin sliver of yellow left over, and that gap is the whole picture. A stroke that touched the edge would be finished. This one is still going.
