Luna Vasquez
Luna cuts a stencil, sprays it on a wall that has seen things, and leaves one hot colour to make the point. Every piece is a joke about Miami with a point.

Where Luna works.
A warehouse in Wynwood, Miami. The garage door stays open. Neon on the walls, colour tests everywhere, and sunlight doing half the work.
Get to know Luna.
What inspires her
Cuban-American Miami as it actually is: the ventanita queue, the domino park, the cruise ships, the flamingos, the abuelas. She paints what she sees and leaves out the sentiment.
How the work gets made
Stencils are hand-cut and sprayed onto plaster with crisp black edges, a little overspray and a few drips. Then exactly one element gets one hot colour. She never writes a word on it.
What makes a Luna Vasquez a Luna Vasquez.
Cut clean
One only
With a point
“Miami is loud. I will not apologise.”

Luna's next piece is coming.
Her pieces get sent the same day they are seen. The bar, the kitchen, the friend who moved away.
