What inspires her
Cuban-American Miami as it actually is: the ventanita queue, the domino park, the cruise ships, the flamingos, the abuelas. She paints what she sees and leaves out the sentiment.
How the work gets made
Stencils are hand-cut and sprayed onto plaster with crisp black edges, a little overspray and a few drips. Then exactly one element gets one hot colour. She never writes a word on it.
