The thing your eye does here
Aurora is supposed to be green. Sofia gave this one pink, and that single decision changes everything about how the picture feels. Green reads as ice. Cerise reads as warm. So you get the drama of a big northern sky without the chill that usually comes with it.
Then look low. The horizon is razor sharp — the spire, the island edge, a thin line of pale gold sitting on the water. Everything above it is loose and flowing. That contrast is the whole piece. The sky is doing something enormous, and the spire just stands there and takes it.
