Your eye keeps going back to the green
It is the only cool thing in the picture, and it is outside — where you are not. That gap is the whole painting. You feel the temperature difference before you work out what you are looking at.
Marco did something unusual here. He took the sky out entirely and pushed in so close that the wall itself becomes the subject. The shutter is barely more than a gesture at the edge. No horizon, no view, no escape route. Just heat, held still, and one thin promise of shade.
